Had the opportunity to join the Scarborough Fly and Bait Casting Association and learn how to craft a fly. Awesome experience at Birkdale Community Centre.

Royal Botanical Gardens - Hendrie Valley Sanctuary, outside Hamilton is a great place to see birds and not many people go out that way especially on week days. There's also a decent waterfall trail line that goes through the Hamilton area (depending on how far you want to hike, Smokey Hollow Waterfall, Borer's Falls, Dundas Peak/ Tew's Falls, Mills Falls, Upper Chedoke Falls pretty much maps out the route) Added plus, if you leave from Toronto center, the Go Train line also makes it very easy to access both hikes if you aren't driving.
Picture for attention!

Hiking
I recently traveled to Peru to see Machu Picchu among many other awesome experiences, but I forgot that I was going from Canadian winter to high altitude summer. Within three days I was experiencing serious 2nd degree sunburns across a significant amount of my body. I needed a remedy badly but the local pharmacies only sold a chemical aloe gel that is mostly useful as a moisturizer or for low level burns. I needed the real thing and it was really hard to find! I learned the best way to access it was at local markets where they are sold by the leaf (these are very big jungle sized aloe leaves - see photo) which also came fairly cheap ($2 SOL per leaf compared to $35 SOL for the pharma aloe gel)

I'd like a quick way to identify invasive species while I am out fishing and see if there is a suggested method to deal with them if I catch them (which ones can I eat?). Thanks!
